About the Artist
Though I would be considered an emerging artist, I have been creating art consistently since I was 12. I was born and raised in Highland, Illinois, where I currently practice, and earned my BFA from Kean University in 2025. Using art as a vessel, I connect to the wondrous side of all of us, speaking to our inner children.
Within my process, I thrive in mixed media. I create illustrations of watercolor, gouache, ink, colored pencil, and marker, layering mediums that aren’t often found together. As accents, I utilize found and discarded objects like iridescent cellophane, tin foil, and rhinestones. You could say I’m obsessed with anything sparkly or shiny. Some other skills of mine include stained glass making, bookbinding, and embroidery, which I will sometimes incorporate into my illustrations.
As I continue to tell visual stories, my personal mythology grows. Pulling from various sources within the cultural ethos we live in, my world consists of a bricolage of religion, spirituality, nature, and fantasy. The mythos I’ve constructed of angels, guardian spirits, knights, and heroes is one which awakens the childlike sense of wonder we all have within us. After all, creating art has always been a form of play for me.
