Navigate

Life’s struggles come in waves, constantly shifting and unpredictable. Like all of us, I have had to navigate these changes the best I can. As a deeply spiritual person, I am often lost in thought, seeking to understand the world around me. My art is a vital step in that process. It helps me to make sense of the things I struggle to understand. It is a crucial step in how I process events, emotions, misfortunes, and revelations.

Like an author writes stories to feel seen, I create visual narratives. My character, Bonnabelle, is a sort of alter-ego, yet she also represents something much greater: the universal journey of the human soul. Her story draws on inspiration from myths, religions, and ancient beliefs across the globe. Through her, I can navigate reality by applying language from my own inner world.

As Bonnie rises to power, she struggles, triumphs, and fails . She has become almost like a goddess in my mind. Not the faultless, distant orchestrators we think of today, but more of an ancient, relatable figure. One that lives forever, yet carries the weight of imperfection.

Though she wears a suit of armor, she also dons a rabbit mask. A prey animal, marking that despite her determination to create her own reality, she is still just a product of fate.

Throughout this journey, she learns to accept her place in the universe, instead of resisting it. Her awakening is marked by a second pair of eyes, symbolizing clarity and the ability to see what was once invisible.

Navigate, while deeply personal, is meant to resonate widely. I hope you can find a part of yourself in Bonnie and in her story.
